World Championships
Alexei has proved he is top dog in the world of figure skating by winning his fourth World Championships.
Alexei skated his familiar Man In The Iron Mask routine to secure his win in the men's free programme. He had won Tuesday's short program by a huge margin, and needed to come first or second in the free to regain his Championship title from long time rival Evgeni Plushenko.
Having received one perfect mark for technical content and five for presentation in the short programme, Alexei led the men's group by a mile going into the free, He produced his usual dazzling display, though by the end of the programme, the strain was begining to show, as he had a near miss on a triple flip.
Afterwards, Alexei said:
"It took me a minute to realise I had got my title back. I had it for three years and I kind of lost it last year. I am pleased I came to compete in this championship."

British Eurosport
British Eurosport will be showing exclusive live coverage of the World Championships from Nagano, Japan. Coverage starts at 8am GMT, and is repeated at 1pm GMT and 5.30PM gmt. Hightlights will be shown at 10.15pm GMT.
The schedule is as follows ;
March 17th - Opening Ceremony
March 19th - Men's Short Programme
March 21st - Men's Free Programme
March 24th - Exhibition
For those of you without cable TV, ITV's World Sport programme may show highlights. It starts at 2.15 am , so set that video!
British Eurosport can be found on cable channel 43.
